Oil-pull up and waxed (pull-up) finishes are infused with oils or waxes so the color lightens where the leather is flexed or stretched, giving a worn-in, characterful look prized in boots and heritage footwear. Rough-out uses the flesh side of the hide outward for a durable, matte, suede-like surface common in work and tactical footwear.
